The Sea Glass Beach House is on the shores of Cardigan Bay across from uninhabited Boughton Island. The beach house rental is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme, which is only enhanced by the picturesque view out the windows. You will enjoy swimming, beach combing for sea glass, digging clams, watching bald eagles and seals or just relaxing on the large decks watching the magnificent sunsets. This secluded 4-Star vacation rental is breath taking, when you awake in the morning, and look out the window, you think you are on a raft drifting aimlessly on the waves.
Sea Glass beach house is 75 feet
from red sand beach and decorated to remind you
that you are living on the ocean amongst quaint
fishing villages. The beach house is framed by
Boughton Island to the north and Panmure Island
to the south. The Boughton Island is surrounded
by beautiful sandy beaches and great for swimming,
bird watching and digging clams. It used
to be settled with a few farms and the only way
on and off was at low tide or boats. Over
the years the sand from the sandbars surrounding
the Boughton Island has shifted in the narrows
to make it more accessible at low tide. You
still have to watch the tides as some water will
go
across
the narrows.
The cottage got it's name "Sea Glass" from
the beautiful sea glass that is found along the
shores of PEI. The glass has been smoothed and
glazed from the weather and water. This sea glass
is great for making jewllery or placing in a
jar with some island sand. A memory of your visit
to our "gentle Island", Prince Edward Island.
