Running right through St. Peter's Bay, within view of the front porch, is the famous Confederation Trail. As a continuous multi-purpose path from coast to coast of PEI, it accommodates walking, hiking, cycling, jogging and wheelchairs on a rolled stonedust surface.
In St. Peter's Bay, you're just 10 minutes from Lakeside Beach, one of the Island's finest. You're also just 10 minutes away from Greenwich National Park, which hosts another of the island's premier beaches. Within Walking distance is St. Peter's Landing, a must-see for vacationers. There you can access geo-caching expeditions, historical local tours, horse & carriage rides, as well as shopping at unique gift shops. While you're at the Landing you can even enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee, or one of DJ's ice-cream cones, worth raving about.
Also within walking distance is the island-famous Rick's Fish & Chips, the Circle Club where weekly the hospitable local folk play Bingo, and would also welcome you to their weekly Ceilidh(Kay-Lee). If you enjoy live theater, there are weekly summer shows at the St. Peter's Bay Courthouse Theatre & Museum. If a trip to town is needed, St. Peter's Bay is just 30 minutes from the historical Charlottetown. For a couple of very unique island restaurants, try visiting Gillis in Montague just 20 minutes away for a throw-back to the 1960's, or 20 minutes in the opposite direction to Naufrage will take you to the Shipwreck Café, specializing in fresh seafood while yielding a breathtaking view of the ocean while you dine.
