This two story beach house features a large entrance way stepping down into a chefs delight kitchen with everything you will need to prepare delicious island cuisine.. Also, on the main floor is the dining room, living area, master bedroom with large ensuite bathroom, a second bathroom and laundry room. The bottom floor offers three bedrooms, Mediaroom, library, pool table and very large bathroom.
The island is noted for its fresh seafood especially the lobster, oysters and mussels this plus roadside vegetable stands, berries, and island beef can be found minutes from the Souris Beach House. The oysters you can see being picked in the morning from the deck can be on your table by the evening. Should you want to dig clams to add to the meal be sure to go to the Rollo Bay flats about 10 minutes away and fill the bucket that is provided.
This waterfront Prince Edward Island vacation home is ideally located in a country setting yet only 5 minutes to the seaside town of Souris where you will find all amenities. There are 2 grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, fresh fish store, health clinics, craft stores, visitor information, paddle and kayak rentals just to name a few.
While enjoying fresh ocean and farm to table restaurants, you’ll quickly learn why the locals are considered the friendliest folks around you will feel welcome wherever you are so don’t be shy to ask questions and enjoy a good local yar’n or two!
TThere is always something to see and do during your island vacation; music festivals, tuna fishing, lobster fishing, golfing, lighthouses tours, swimming, clam digging, deep-sea fishing, trout fishing, beach combing, walking long pristine beaches, biking or walking the Confederation Trail, this is just a few things to get you started.
Close to the house are several long white sand beaches and dunes that you can explore, which are only minutes away. Basin Head "Singing Sands" beach and is only 15 minutes away from the beach house. It is considered the best on PEI and number on in Canada. It is called singing sands for a reason, if you scuff your feet as you walk the sand actually sings ... if you don't believe it... then come and try it!
