The Sea Dunes is a very unique 3 story; 3000 sq. ft. fully AC and heated beach house it is situated right in the dunes at St. Peters Harbour Beach between Greenwich National Park and Crowbush Golf Course.
On the first floor you will find a gas fireplace, cozy sofa and chairs to maximize your viewing experience. Just beyond this space you will find a games table with high leather chairs to enjoy a board game, puzzles or a game of cards.
On the second floor you will find the kitchen that is full of light, with a large window over the sink, a full glass door to the deck and two 6 ft patio doors in the dining area. The kitchen is a chef's delight with 18 ft. of Quartz countertops plus the island will accommodate multiple chefs in the kitchen at the same time. The beach house had a fully equipped kitchen with high end cookware, fridge, 5 burner gas range, wine fridge, microwave and much more so you can prepare island cuisine. The dining area contains a large harvest table easily seating 8 to 10 and another 6 can be accommodated along the island. There is also a sitting area on the second floor with wood fireplace.
There are 4 bedrooms in the main beach house. Two bedrooms on the bottom floor one with a queen and other with 2 bunk beds. Second floor master bedroom of generous size has a king bed, which can be converted to 2 twin XL beds if desired. The third floor offer the second master bedroom with another king bed, which can also be converted to 2 twin XL beds if desired.
Each of the three floors has a full bathroom. Bottom floor bathroom complete with a tub shower enclosure twin single vanities and a toilet. Second floor is a full bath with a 5 ft walk-in glass shower double vanity. Third floor offers a full bath with a 6 ft. soaker tub, separate shower, double vanity.
The Carriage House - separate from the beach house is the carriage house. Outside the carriage house is an outdoor shower. The lower lever of the carriage house offers an open concept great for storing bikes, beach chairs, etc. The upstairs offering a visual divide, each side you will find two single beds, which can be pushed together to make kings. Windows and skylights provide light and cross ventilation. The carriage house is a perfect get away from the main beach house.
Sea Dune Beach House is only 30 minutes to Charlottetown and the regional airport ( http://www.flypei.com /), the ease of access is evident. The Confederation Bridge ( http://www.confederationbridge.com /) and Northumberland Ferry ( https://www.ferries.ca/ns-pei-ferry /) are also ways to get to Prince Edward Island by car.
Although your PEI vacation location is in the eastern end of the island, which is considered rural Prince Edward Island, you are still close to amenities; grocery stores and liquor store is 5 minutes away, craft shops, and restaurants. Charlottetown, the capital of PEI is only 30 minutes from the beach house. You will enjoy the nearby cuisine, culture and shopping in some of the quaintest communities in Prince Edward Island. Located along the Points East Coastal Drive, there are hundreds of places to explore!
If you are a golfer then you will think you've struck it rich…. There are 26 golf courses on the island and some of the finest in Canada. The Links at Crowbush Cove, Dundarave and Brudenell River - are a popular draw for both national & international visitors. Crowbush is only 8 minutes from the beach house.
Besides the beautiful beach out your door, Greenwich National Park beach is moments away. The Basin Head "Singing Sands" beach is only 45 minutes away and listed as the #1 beach in Canada and #2 in North America. It is called the “singing sands” for a reason… as you walk on the sands you will hear it sing. Also, it is a popular spot for the visitors and locals to swim and jump off the bridge to let the tides take you out to the sandbar. Not counting Greenwich and Basin Head beach there are 50 other beautiful beaches to explore in eastern PEI...Maybe you just want to jog or walk on the extensive golden miles of beach out your door.
If you like to explore and keep busy there are all kinds of things to see and do on the island. The island is known for the lighthouse landmarks and 30 minutes away you can climb to the top of the East Point Lighthouse to see the breathtaking vista of the island. It is also where the tides of the Northumberland Strait and the Gulf of St. Lawrence meet, in a storm it is impressive with the action of the waves and surf that spin off then crashing together.
Are you a biker, walker or jogger then the nearby Confederation Trail is what you should experience. Not far from the cottage is the most scenic section of the Confederation Trail, which is a biking and walking trail that goes from one end of the island to the other. The Elmira Train Station Museum is where the end of the line is located. It is where the train of PEI ended before the tracks were picked up and the walking biking trail was made for everyone to enjoy. This is located before East Point.
Island cuisine is a must when you come to the island considering we have such fresh seafood, not to mention the fresh beef and vegetables that you'll find at the Farmers Markets or the roadside vegetable stands. If you come in May and June you can taste the fresh lobsters that you can find at any wharf during the season. Red Head and Naufrague Harbours are very close to the beach house. After the season closes the lobster can be found at the nearby St. Peters Bay fish market.
