A water front Cottage that is a very unique summer rental ... it is a renovated church that is called Annandale Church cottage. Located in the seaside community of Annandale, Prince Edward Island. This church was a welcoming beacon as you entered the small community of Annandale for many years. The church was designated to be torn down, before this happened it was bought and moved to a large spacious water front property just down the road then renovated into a unique 3 bedroom PEI cottage rental.
As you walk into this PEI church cottage through beautiful wooden doors you are greeted with the original charming church windows and new decor. The pews have been removed and replaced with a large living room and dining area, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms with a king and queen bed downstairs. Upstairs is a divided kid-friendly zone sleeping 5. On one side is a bedroom with 3 single beds & on the other a separate tv room with two more sleeping areas...a single bed in the cubby overlooking Boughton Bay & another single bed upstairs in the tower.
There is a deck at the back of the cottage with BBQ and patio furniture. Also, off the deck is a hot/cold enclosed shower. The property offers a very large yard with apple trees and a boardwalk to the beach. The small seaside community of Annandale is a very scenic area where you can walk to the wharf and get fresh lobsters from the fishermen in May and June.
The nnandale church cottage is located in eastern PEI between the towns of Montague and Souris. Each town has all your amenities, hospital, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping etc.
This PEI cottage rental is only minutes away from Sally's Beach and 30 minutes from the Basin Head Beach called “Singing Sands” if you want to try other beaches other then the one out your door. If you like clams you are in luck in the waterway in front of the cottage you will find long neck clams, bar clams and quahogs. They can be found just below the sand or mud surface between the high and low tidal zone and beyond, in sheltered waters. You can also snorkle for the bar clams when the full moon is out, they tend to come more to the surface during that time.
In the surrounding areas there is lots to see and do. 2014 being the 150 year of Confederation there are many celebrations happening all over PEI. Prince Edward Island tourism is hosting many festival and events all over PEI and each community will also have special events happening all summer lnog. If you are a golfer Brudenell and Dundarave Golf Courses are 30 minutes away and Crowbush 45 minutes. Deep-Sea fishing, horseback riding along the beach, museums, biking are all 30-45 minutes away.
